**** This is actually pretty good - his voice may not be the best one out there, it's certainly unique but I wouldn't want to listen to it too much - but I'm surprised that I enjoyed this album so much. I think he tries to channel a little bit of Otis Redding in his ballads, and they are my favourite songs on here, along with Iron Sky which is strange and otherworldly (Better Man and One Day are fantastic). It borders on not really my thing, especially with the opening track, Scream, but for the most part it is a good decent listen. 4.1/6 |
